Hello everyone,
Roam Transit here in Banff Alberta, has a few questions to ask regarding fleet maintenance and in particular how afternoon or evening shifts are operated.We would really appreciate it if our fellow agenices could take a few minutes to answer all or even just some of the ~6 questions listed below.

- 1 – What is your Fleet size and does your transit agency run an evening or night shift?

- If so, how many people does it consist of and what are their
tasks/duties?- 2 -Does your maintenance department run alternating or rolling shifts?
- 3 – Does your evening shift engage in larger repairs or is it more PM
service focused.- 4 – What level of inventory does the agency have in stock?

- Is this dependent on how many different manufacturers and models
make up the agencies fleet?<ul type=”disc”>
- 5 – How does your maintenance department handle the passing off of
work? If a CVIP is being conducted and carries over into another shift
with different mechanics, who inherits the signing authority or cvip
liability and responsibility?<ul type=”circle”>
- Does your transit agencies have insurance or legal representation
for “hand over of work” between mechanics?- 6 – How many apprentices does your maintenance team have?
